On 19 July 2001. Notarial deed was signed for the establishment
of the Foundation SALT telescope in Poland.
Have constituted also all the organs of the Foundation,
so the Foundation Council, Board and Council Members.
The powers of each of the Founders was the appointment
of a member of the Foundation.
On 16 October 2001. SALT Telescope Foundation in Poland was registered
in the District Court. City of Warsaw, XX Commercial Division of the National
Court Register under the number KRS 0000053350
(Annex 3 - Registration Act SALT Telescope Foundation in Poland).
Statutory objectives of the Foundation:
The aim of the Foundation is to support Polish astronomy, in particular:
The creation of the material base for the construction and use and operation
of the telescope SALT
The creation of the material base for other activities related to research
of apparatus satellite and ground-based astronomical
Promoting the idea of the Foundation in the country and abroad
The collection of funds for the purposes of the Foundation
The promotion of publishing activities and publishing
The organization of symposia and conferences
Support for statutory activities of scientific societies and scientific
institutions whose tasks are consistent with the objectives of the Foundation
Sponsorship of the Foundation:
People and organisations who make donations to the Foundation grants,
single or jointly, in the amount equal to at least equivalent of US$ 10 000,
are entitled to receive, the title of sponsor of the Foundation, if they wish so.
Foundation Sponsors will receive a diploma and a medal confirming the title.
